Alicia Witt was a musician from her earliest onscreen days, but she's best than a musician, singer or pianist. Her 2009 eponymous release, which was released shortly after she had mostly worked as pianist, showed her obvious debt to Elton John. Revisionary History (produced by Ben Folds) was her debut studio release in the year 2015. It was followed by a series of albums including 2021's The Conduit, which marked her first time as a co-producer. Alicia Witt appeared in the 1984 David Lynch adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune as Alia Atreides. It's no surprise that being only ten years old it was assumed that she was being an actress, despite the fact she'd had been a pianist for nearly since she was a teenager. She was more frequently on screen than she did on film, returning to duty for Lynch in a show from 1990 of Twin Peaks and then regularly appearing on screen as well as on TV over the following two decades, breaking through when she appeared in the film Mr. Mr.
